Mr. Taylor was a member of the Law Faculty of the University of Alberta for three years where he taught tax, real estate and real property.

From 1974 to 1978, he was engaged in the general practice of law in Alberta specializing in ADR.

Mr. Taylor served as President of the Gibralter Group of Companies, commercial and residential real estate developers in Canada and the USA, from 1978 to 1982. Thereafter he practiced law in Alberta with emphasis on ADR in all sectors of the economy.

In 1987, Mr. Taylor was called to the Bar of British Columbia. Since that time he has conducted an inter-provincial ADR practice including:
